170 Angeleños receive NegoCarts

This city’s Public Employment Services Office (PESO) turned over a total of 170 Negosyo Carts to beneficiaries under the Bottom-up-Budgeting (BuB) program of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

The first batch consisted of 110 Nego Carts while the second and final batch of 60 Nego Carts were distributed last March 29 at the City Hall compound.

PESO-OIC Maria Rosa Teodora L. Basilio said the less fortunate can now have a chance in improving their lives by having a business of their own.

“Our mandate is focused on bringing more job and livelihood opportunities to the people. The Nego Cart distribution is just one of the projects of the local government which aims to help and give the Angeleños a means to earn and support their family,” Basilio said.

Meanwhile, there is an ongoing training for housekeeping services.

On the month of May, PESO will be conducting a training program for the City College of Angeles (CCA) graduates to help them in getting a NC II accreditation, a competitiveness certificate issued by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
