200 Fernandinos get ‘TUPAD’ jobs

A total of 200 Fernandinos signed their contracts for employment during the “Tulong Hanapbuhay Para sa Disadvantage Workers (TUPAD)” Orientation and Contract Signing on August 9 at the Heroes Hall.

This was initiated by the Local Government of San Fernando, through its City Employment and Services Division, in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment and Provincial Government of Pampanga.

The TUPAD beneficiaries flash the Fernandino first sign together with Mayor Edwin “Edsa” Santiago, Vice Mayor Jimmy Lazatin, DOLE Pampanga Field Office Labor and Employment Officer Arlene Castillo and PESO Capitol Community Affairs Officer Michael Regala during the “Tulong Hanapbuhay Para sa Disadvantage Workers” Orientation and Contract Signing on August 9 at the Heroes Hall.

TUPAD is one of the programs of DOLE that aims to provide emergency employment for displaced workers and unemployed.

In an interview, Mayor Edwin “Edsa” Santiago stressed that the city actively supports programs that provide employment opportunities to the Fernandinos so they can improve their quality of life with dignity and responsibility.

Santiago said.
