9 nabbed in ‘Double Barrel’ operations

At least nine illegal drug pushers and users were arrested by the Mabalacat cops in separate drug-clearing operations from March 7 to 13.

Last March 7, President Rodrigo Duterte approved the revitalization of Philippine National Police’s anti-drug crackdown now coined as a ‘bloodless’ Oplan Double Barrel Reloaded.

This city’s authorities have apprehended Rolando Cayabyab, 33, of Barangay Camachiles; Aljon dela Cruz, 22, Macapagal Village; Jessie Sese, 46, Dau; Romeo Lopez, 32, Calumpang; Rolando Luzano, 51, Marcos Village, Ronnie dela Cruz, 38 and Karen Gabicho, 30, both residents of Dolores; Edwin Fajardo and Ricardo Sarmiento of Dau.

A total of 12.678 grams of suspected shabu with a street value of P 32,500 were confiscated from the nine arrested drug individuals.
Senior Inspector Melvin Florida Jr. to City Mayor Marino Morales and Vice Mayor Christian Halili on Wednesday at the Mabalacat City Police Station in Barangay Poblacion.

“Hindi po kami ang nanghuhuli sa inyo dahil trabaho po iyong ng ating mga kapulisan. Kung may kasalanan talaga kayo, aaminin kayo at makikipagtulungan sa ating mga kapulisan nakikita ko naman na mas magiging magaan ang mga kaso niyo,” Halili said.

“Ing Presidenti tamu eya bibiru anya sopan taya king kayang advocacy labanan taya ing corruption, criminality, poverty and drugs. Bayu dakayu asopan, sana saupan ye pamu ing sarili yu. Mangadi kayu mu keng Ginu. Magbayu kayu para kareng pamilya yu,” Morales added.

It can be recalled last March 14, Morales has warned the members of the barangay anti-drug abuse councils to intensify their duties as first line of defense against prohibited drugs or face administrative sanctions and be eliminated in the upcoming barangay election on October 2017.
