Clark-Los Angeles flights seen in 2020

CEBU CITY – Flag-carrier Philippine Air Lines (PAL) is looking forward to launch flights between Clark and Los Angeles, California after the completion of its refleeting program by the end of 2019.

PAL has embarked in a $1 billion refleeting program that will pave the way for the entry of the 12 units of dual-class Bombardier Q400 New Generation aircraft and two Boeing 777 long-haul aircraft.

PAL will receive its two Boeing 777 long-haul aircraft in December as part of its refleeting program.

It is most likely that the Clark-US flights will be launched by 2020.

“We are also looking at the possibilities of having international flghts from Clark to Los Angeles, Clark to Japan once our refleeting program will complete by the end of 2019,” said Pal President and COO Jimmy Bautista.

“We are also planning to put up our own terminal (in Clark) just like at Terminal 2 at the NAIA thru private public partnership.”
PAL Express has also said it will increase its presence at the sprawling Clark International Airport, the gateway to central and northern Luzon.

PAL Express President Bonifacio Sam told iorbitnews.com that “Clark will be there domestic hub. We will increase our domestic routes from Clark starting this October until December.”

Sam noted “the potential of Clark as international and domestic airport outside Metro Manila.”
Bautista received the first delivery of the Q400 during simple turnover rites at the Bombardier Delivery Center last July 20.
