DepEd RO3 opens search for School-Based Feeding Program Best Implementers

City of San Fernando, Pampanga — The Department of Education Regional Office III announces the conduct of the Regional Search for the Outstanding lmplementers of the School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP) for schools which implement the program this September.

The search aims to recognize the efforts of school implementers of SBFP, gather best practices which con be shared to other schools, and provide an avenue where technical assistance con be provided.

The nominated schools shall be adjudged based on the percentage of beneficiaries rehabilitated to normal status; percentage attendance of beneficiaries; compliance to guidelines; establishment of school and home vegetable gardens; development of health and nutrition values and behavior; evaluation of required documents such as cycle menu, market form, and liquidation reports; documentation of best practices, involvement and supports of parents and community; conduct of advocacy and social/resource mobilization activities; practiced composting and waste segregation in schools; and coordination with the barangay on livelihood trainings.

The evaluation process shall be conducted at the division level and at the regional level where the three best school implementers will be awarded as the Regional Outstanding SBFP Implementers based on the evaluation of the Regional Search Committee. The First Place winning schools shall receive P50,000, trophy and a certificate while the 2nd and 3rd Placers shall receive P30,000 and P20,000 respectively.

The Division evaluation and submission of nominations to the Regional Office by the Schools Division Search Committee shall be conducted on September to October while the Regional evaluation and awarding of the outstanding SBFP lmplementers shall be held on November to December. The Regional winners shall also be nominated at the National Search for Outstanding lmplementers of the School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP).
