The Department of Tourism is encouraging the public to tag and bring home a Filipino or foreign friend back to the Philippines and win big prizes.
The DOT’s referral incentive program coined Bring Home a Friend (BHAF) was first launched by former tourism head Mina Gabor in 1994.
This year,under Tourism Secretary Wanda Corazon Teo’s leadership, the program was opened to the public from October 15, 2017 to April 15, 2018.
To qualify you must be a Filipino, of legal age or an expatriate living in the Philippines permanently or at least six months. Log on to the official website www.bringhomeafriend.online and invite friends as many as you can. Invite and be a sponsor.
The invitee must be a foreign passport holder, and must be living abroad for at least six months prior to the event.
The rule ‘no travel, no electronic entry’ must be followed. The invitee must travel back to Philippines within the specified promo period.
After the travel is completed, the invitee should complete the registration process. Copies of travel documents including ticket and boarding pass must be uploaded. Once the registration is done, the invitees will receive a notification with an electronic coupon.
Rewards at stake for sponsors are 200, 000 peso- worth of Duty Free gift certificate, brand new Toyota Vios and Megaworld’s Eastwood Le Grand condominium unit for the 3rd, 2nd and 1st place.
For invitees, 3rd prize include two round trip international economy class tickets, two roundtrip domestic tickets to Davao and five days and four nights stay at Pearl Farm Beach Resort. The 2nd placer will receive two round trip international economy class tickets, two roundtrip domestic tickets to Cebu and five days and four nights stay at Jpark Island Resort and Waterpark. Two round trip international economy class tickets, two roundtrip domestic tickets to Palawan and six days and five nights stay at El Nido Hotel and Resort await for the grand winner.
The list of winners will be posted on the DOT website and its social media accounts on April 2018.
