An overseas Filipino worker (OFW) identified only as “Melvin” was rescued by the Philippine Embassy in Iraq led by Chargé d’affaires Elmer Cato. Melvin paid P35,000 back in Manila to work as a receptionist in Qatar with a salary of $600 but ended up in Kurdistan, Iraq as a housemaid with a salary of $300. She worked long hours with no dayoff. The Filipina OFW is shown here while she was about to board the aircraft bound for the Philippines.
