Mabalaqueños join movement against illegal drugs

Some 182 Mabalaqueños vowed to support the fight against illegal drugs during the official launching of Mabalacat City Anti-Drug Abuse Movement MACADAM on Friday, at Jade Hall, Xevera Lot Only, Tabun.

City Mayor Marino Morales, Vice Mayor Christian Halili and the Sangguniang Panlungsod members led the inauguration of MACADAM.
The theme is “Mamamayan Magkaisa, Tutulan at Labanan ang Bawal na Droga Tungo sa Mapayapa at Maunlad na Lipunan.”

MACADAM is led by its President Alejandro ‘Bobot’ Mateo, Vice President Timothy Dee, Treasurer Vincent Sarmiento, Auditor Sol Flores and Public Relations Officer Bishop Christopher Dulay vowed to be efficient and committed to make Mabalacat a drug-free city.

“Ang MACADAM po ay binubuo ng mga indibidwal mula sa marginalized sector gaya ng mga non government orgamizations, senior citizens at persons with disability na handang tumulong sa ating mga lokal na opisyal para maging drug-neutralized city ang Mabalacat,” MultiSectoral Alliance Head Gerry Dayrit.

“Nung buri tamu, agawa tamu anya anyaran kupu ing sawup yu. We are doing this for our people especially our children, “Morales said.

“Susuportan at pupugayan dakayu uli na pu ning kekayung sikanan lub at determinasyun para labanan ing iligal a droga at mawala ya ing salut ayan keti siyudad Mabalacat,” Halili added.
