Quest Hotel employees get Red Cross First Aider certification

CLARK FREEPORT ZONE – Quest Hotel and Conference Center, Clark has always been supportive of The Philippine Red Cross’ (PRC) humanitarian goals and activities – from launching blood donation drives to participating in first aid trainings.

This November, Quest Hotel and Mimosa Golf had a total of fifteen volunteers from different departments who were trained as first aiders by the PRC. The training ran for a week, from November 20 to 24 and was facilitated by Maureen Sarmiento and Ichiro Yuske Santos. This is the second first aid training for the hotel and golf course employees.

Upon completion, trainees were given certificates officially endorsing them as first aid responders, eligible for two years. Among the many practical and life-saving methods they will learn are bandaging techniques, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and how to transport the injured safely.

PRC aims to make each member of the Quest Hotel and Mimosa Golf team a responder and grow the extensive number of volunteers, thus encouraging having new trainees every year from various departments. Quest Clark is more than delighted to be a part of this plan.

Besides Quest Clark and Mimosa Golf’s participation in first aid training, the Filinvest Mimosa+ Leisure City properties have also launched a blood donation drive last July 20. This blood-letting event will also be conducted yearly and is open to the public.

Only recently in October as well, the hotel supported the PRC with the latter’s Million Volunteer Run as a CSR project and sponsored a prize to be given away to the runners. This event is 2017’s biggest humanitarian run by the organization aiming to grow the family of dedicated PRC volunteers and instill this culture that will define the Filipino nation.

The Million Volunteer Run sought participation from different sectors such as the government, corporate, academic, religious, and athletic institutions to “rally behind the impartial protection of life and dignity, especially of indigent Filipinos in vulnerable situations.”

Quest Hotel Clark and Mimosa Golf will always be supportive partners in PRC’s projects, and are looking forward for more from here on.
