Two drug dealers, 27 others nabbed in Bulacan dope war

CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — Two armed drug pushers were killed in a gun fight with police operatives during anti-narcotics operations in the towns of Pandi and San Miguel, while 27 other drug suspects were arrested in a series of buy-bust operations conducted by Bulacan Police over the weekend.

Senior Supt. Romeo Caramat Jr., Acting Provincial Director of Bulacan PNP, identified the slain suspects as Jeffrey Tabianan alias “Teptep” (other data still unknown) and Richard Felipe alias “Balat”, married, farmer, resident of Brgy Batasan Matanda, San Miguel, Bulacan.

Caramat said that based on the report of Chief Inspector Manuel de Vera , Pandi police chief, an armed encounter ensued during a buy-bust operation in Mayumi St., Saint Dominique, Brgy. San Roque, Pandi, Bulacan, that resulted in the death of Tabianan, while his cohort identified only one as alias “Eseng” eluded arrest.
Further investigation revealed that one of the suspects (“Eseng”) immediately recognized one of the police operatives and tried to run and jumped over the fence to escape towards Brgy Baka-Bakahan whileTabianan drew and fired his firearm towards the lawmen, causing the police officers to retaliate that resulted to his death.

Bulacan SOCO Team processed the crime scene and recovered one (1) improvised handgun loaded with ammunition; two (2) cal. 9mm cartridge cases, one (1) deformed fired bullet; two (2) open cut transparent plastic sachets with suspected “shabu” residue, four (4) cal 38 live ammos; and two (2) 100 peso bills buy-bust money.

In San Miguel town, Supt. Isagani Enriquez,, town police chief, reported that the Drug Enforcement Team of San Miquel Municipal Police Station conducted a buy-bust operation that resulted in the death of Ramos in Brgy Batasan Matanda, San Miguel, Bulacan on May 18, 2017 about 6:10 p.m.

Investigation disclosed that an armed encounter ensued when the suspect resisted arrest and suddenly pulled and fired his firearm towards the law enforcers, prompting the police officers to return fire resulting in the suspect’s death.

A SOCO Team from Bulacan Provincial Crime Laboratory recovered the following evidence: three transparent plastic sachets of suspected “shabu”; one caliber .38 revolver loaded with three ammunition and two fired cartridge cases in its cylinder; two fired bullets of 9mm; four empty shells of 9mm; six ammunition of caliber .38; and one open transparent plastic sachet containing white powder.

Criminal complaints for violation of RA 10591; violation of sections 5 and 11, Article II of RA 9165; Attempted Murder; and Direct Assault Upon Agents of Person in Authority will be filed against the neutralized suspect.

Caramat also added that at least 27 other drug suspects were arrested in different buy-bust operations conducted in City/Municipalities of San Jose del Monte (SJDM), Meycauayan, Guigunito, Pulilan, San Miguel, Bocaue, Paombong, Baliwag, Santa Maria, and Marilao, wherein 72 plastic sachets of suspected “shabu”, buy-bust money and drug paraphernalia were recovered. The arrested suspects were identified as Orlando Cabangan alias Avatar (listed in Barangay BADAC watch list of illegal drug pusher and as per validation of Bulacan Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit); Angela Angel Vergara; Christopher Sallao Alyas Betong; Arlene Amparo; Rowen Delos Reyes; Leo Lagrosa alias Leo; Vincent Duhilag alias Vincent/Yayang (included in the BADAC watchlist of Meycauyan CPS); Rogelio Cosejo Sr. alias Roger; Federico Razo alias Pedik; Honeylet Roxas alias Letlet (Bulacan listed in BADAC watch list); Rogelio Lamban; Marcenito Villarin; Jay-R Rason alias Jr; Edlyn Domanais; Rosita Cabral; Joel Larinio; 17) Rodelio Castillo; Niño Cabral; Jesus Sarsuelo; Ronaldo Castillo alias Oneng; Roseller Bruno alias Reli; (surrenderers in the Oplan Double Barrel of Paombong PS) Elino Baltazar alias Lino alias Ambet (listed in the Baseline Drugs Watch list of Baliwag PS); Edwin Castro; Noli Jacinto alias Manolito/Jerry Negro; (included in the Illegal Drug Watch List (baseline) of Santa Maria PS as drug pusher in the BADAC list of Brgy. San Gabriel, Sta. Maria, Bulacan); Sally Sabarillo alias “Sally Puti-Pute” (included in the drug watchlist of Marilao PS); Eugene Pedro; and Rosendo Santos.
Appropriate criminal complaints against the suspects are now being filed before the City/Provincial Prosecutors Office of Bulacan. –Emil G. Gamos
