105 fugitives fall in C. Luzon week-long police manhunt ops

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga –An intensified campaign against wanted persons led to the arrest of 105 fugitives in separate week-long manhunt police operations in different areas in Central Luzon, the biggest number of arrest in terms of police operations targeting persons with standing warrants of arrest in the region, said Chief Supt. Amador Corpus, director, Police Regional Office 3.

Corpus said the Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office (NEPPO) bagged the highest number of arrest with 25 persons, followed by Bulacan Police Provincial Office (BPPO) with 22 and Tarlac Provincial Police Office (TPPO) and Bataan Police Provincial Office (BPPO) with 13 persons brought behind bars for various offenses, respectively.

Pampanga Police Provincial Office (PPO) headed by Senior Supt. Nicolas Supan Salvador recorded 12 arrests, while Zambales Police Provincial Office (ZPPO) yielded 10 wanted persons; four in Angeles City Police Office (ACPO); three in Aurora Police Provincial Office (APPO) and three in Olongapo City Police Office (OCPO), stated in the report.

The arrested persons, Corpus said, have standing cases in different courts across the region. Criminal offense range from Murder, Homicide, Robbery, Theft, Adultery, Direct Assault, Abduction, Rape, Acts of Lasciviousness, Physical Injuries, Estafa, Libel, Large Scale Illegal Recruitment, RIR in Homicide, and other violations of law.

Corpus expressed optimism that crime volume including crime against property, against persons and other violations  of special laws will go down due to relentless police operations against criminals on the streets.

“With our relentless efforts to arrest wanted persons, crimes in the region would further be trimmed down,” Corpus stressed.

He added that the arrest of fugitives swiftly gave justice to victims of injustices.

Meanwhile, Corpus reiterated his earlier directive to all police units in the region to go all -out against wanted persons in their respective areas.

“Criminals have no place in our society in general and in region 3 in particular,” Corpus said.
