ANGELES CITY – A total of 1,275 City Hall employees – 921 regular, 17 contractual, and 337 casual – received their mid-year bonus on May 18, 2021, amounting to P32,691,428.71.
Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. has recently ordered the Local Finance Committee composed of the City Budget Office, City Accounting Office, and City Treasurer’s Office to prepare the mid-year bonus of the city government employees, so that they can be released on time.
“Ngayong panahon ng pandemya, gusto nating maseguro na may maaasahan ang mga kawani natin para sa kanilang mga pinansyal na pangangailangan,” he said.
Lazatin also expressed his gratitude to City Hall employees who continue to provide quality service, despite the dangers brought about by the pandemic.
“Nais kong pasalamatan ang lahat ng ating mga kawani, para sa kanilang walang sawang paglilingkod sa mga Angelenos, kahit araw-araw nilang kinakaharap ang panganib dulot ng COVID-19,” Lazatin furthered.
The granting of the mid-year bonus is in accordance with Republic Act No 11466 which states that from the President down to the lowest paid janitor or clerk, who have rendered at least four months as of May 15, are entitled to a mid-year incentive equivalent to one month salary.
