TARLAC CITY — About 14 micro enterprises in San Manuel town received livelihood kits from Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
The recipients, consisting of nine micro enterprises from barangay San Vicente and five from barangay Pacpaco, are beneficiaries of the Livelihood Seeding Program-Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB).
It promotes business development among micro enterprises through reaching out to them with the help of local government units (LGUs).
“The objective of LSP-NSB is to help you boost your businesses especially in this time of pandemic. We don’t want your businesses to go to waste because these are giving life to our economy,” DTI Provincial Director Agnes Ramirez told the beneficiaries.
It also includes individual package of livelihood kits that could aid qualified affected individuals restore and improve their businesses in case of catastrophic events such as the current COVID-19 pandemic.
For her part, Mayor Donya Tesoro expressed her support to the micro enterprises in improving their businesses.
“We in the LGU, together with DTI, has the same vision to see you succeed in your businesses. Especially now in this time of pandemic, we have no idea when this ends that’s why it’s so important that we have a source of income,” said Tesoro.
