About 1,480 consumers benefited from the on-site Diskwento Caravan of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Tarlac at the Municipal Covered Court of Anao.
DTI OIC-Provincial Director Florencia Balilo said the Diskwento Caravan aims to give consumers an access to basic necessities, prime commodities, and other products at discounted prices.
She highlighted the agency’s collaboration with partners and stakeholders including eight major retailers of grocery items and appliances, and local entrepreneurs and associations from the host municipality.
“We have invited distributors and retailers of basic necessities and prime commodities as well as other consumer goods to make products available to Anaoeños at discounted prices,” Balilo stated.
As a regular program of DTI, the Diskwento Caravan involves manufacturers and distributors of basic necessities and prime commodities to offer quality and reasonably-priced products to consumers.
It likewise ensures the protection of the rights of consumers by giving them the best value for their money. (CLJD/TJBM-PIA 3)
