15 solo parents in Ramos undergo DTI skills training

About 15 solo parents in Ramos town benefited from the skills training conducted by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Tarlac.

Organized by Negosyo Center Ramos in partnership with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), it focused on “How to Start a Business” and Skills Training on Chicken Processing.

DTI OIC-Provincial Director Florencia Balilo underscored that the activity will let the participants know the fundamentals of entrepreneurship which they can apply in managing the livelihood skills that they have acquired.

“It is important for would-be entrepreneurs to know the basics of entrepreneurship as they venture into business,” she said.

Business Counselor Joana Obena discussed the rewards and risks of entrepreneurship, business opportunities, and the characteristics of an entrepreneur.

Moreover, Resource Speaker Danilo Gacusan demonstrated the process of making embutido, sausage, siomai, and tocino using chicken meat as the main ingredient.

In line with this, the MSWDO awarded starter kits to the participants in support of their business journey.
