Some 15 young artists won in the recently concluded Rotary Club of Clark Centennial (RCCC) Children’s Arts Competition 2023.
The winners received more than P70,000 cash and gift certificates during simple ceremonies held at the Santungan Cultural Center below the Abacan Bridge on June 17, 2023. Some 215 young student-artists from Angeles City’s 53 public schools had participated in the art competition.
The art competition had been coordinated by the Rotary Club of Clark Centennial and the Angeles City Department of Education (DepEd).
This year’s children’s art competition had been an overwhelming success since there were 215 entries, according to Doctor Brian Tan, RCCC President. Last year, there were only 54 total entries. “We hope next year we can add more donors and make it an even bigger event.”
The awarding ceremony was attended by Dr. Tan, RCCC Art Committee Chairman, Mr. Rom David; Angeles City Councilor Marino D. Bañola; Mr. Joffre Joel C. Dulinayan II – Angeles City Youth Development Office; Mr. Goeran Soelter- Managing Director of the Clark Marriott; Dr. Denise Molintas – General Manager of the Hilton Clark Sun Valley Resort; Ms. Anna Marie Carmen M. Romero – Angeles City DepEd; Ms. Arcely Garcia – Angeles City DepEd; Ms. Cindy S. Mejia – Angeles City DepEd; Mr. Jess Nicdao – Past District Rotary Governor; Mr. Melton Capati – Asst. Marketing Manager at the Royce Hotel and Casino; and Ms. Bea Castro of the Angeles City Tourism Office.
