16 public school district supervisors get new vehicles

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Acting Governor Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda led the distribution of 16 Mitsubishi L300 service vehicles for the use of Public School District Supervisors (PSDS).

In his message, Acting Governor Delta reminded the school supervisors to take good care of the vehicles and these are expected to augment the operations of the said public schools in their respective districts.

Acting Governor Delta said the school vehicles should not be used for the personal or family business and activities of the supervisors, principals and teachers.

He pointed out that the vehicles are mainly intended for the official school activities and events such as attending school trainings, seminars, executive meetings, conventions and other school events.

“You can also use the school vehicles for emergency situations needing medical or hospital assistance and intervention,” Delta told the supervisors.

Delta also added that his office is open to everybody especially to the teachers and students who are admitted in public and even in private hospitals accredited by the provincial government. “Marami naman tayong accredited na mga private hospitals sa bawat distrito,” he noted.

Francis Maslog, officer-in-charge of the General Services Office said the 16 vehicles are worth Php 11,520,000 or Php720, 000 each.

“Of course, like what the acting governor is telling us, we will use the vehicles in case of emergencies such as bringing the sick teachers, students or the school clienteles to hospitals when the need arises,” Ayson said.

Ayson said on behalf of the PSDS led by the able leadership of Dr. Leonardo ‘Ding’ Zapanta, Pampanga provincial school superintendent, they would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the provincial government led by Governor Lilia ‘Nanay’ Pineda and Acting Governor Delta for their generosity and utmost concern to the flight of the public schools in the province.

Ayson disclosed that in her district, they will collect Php 500 from each school’s local school funds for the gasoline and maintenance of the brand new vehicle and Php 300 for the succeeding months.
