TARLAC CITY — A total of 18 members of various cooperatives in Capas, Tarlac attended an Entrepreneurial Mind-Setting Seminar of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
It was organized by Negosyo Center Capas, in partnership with the Municipal Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office.
DTI OIC-Provincial Director Florencia Balilo said the activity aims to boost the economy by generating more jobs and income from micro, small, and medium enterprises.
“The learning event seeks to expand the abilities of the attendees in running, sustaining, and growing their businesses to generate jobs and income,” she added.
Negosyo Center Business Counselor Adrian Paolo David emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship in economic development particularly the role of the entrepreneurs in job creation and income generation.
He also presented some business opportunities that can help them spot new ventures, as well as the services and assistance of Negosyo Center Capas on business development.
One of the beneficiaries, Jury Yumul, acknowledged the significance of the activity in providing opportunities for their cooperative.
“The training widened our knowledge in managing a business. It is good to attend seminars like this to gather ideas on starting new livelihood projects for the cooperative,” he said.
