185 students receive financial aid from CHED program

A total of 185 students from the University of Assumption received financial assistance under the “Tulong Dunong Program” of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), in partnership with the Pampanga Provincial Government. The initiative aims to support financially challenged students in their pursuit of higher education.

Officials from CHED and the Provincial Library led the distribution of cash assistance to beneficiaries. Former Board Member Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab also attended the event to show her support. Each student beneficiary received ₱7,000 in aid.

The “Tulong Dunong Program,” spearheaded by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., provides financial assistance to students who need support to complete their education. The program is part of the administration’s broader initiative to make higher education more accessible to Filipino youth.

In Pampanga alone, nearly 2,000 students regularly receive financial aid through the program. The payout is distributed twice a year, corresponding to each semester, ensuring continued support for eligible students.
