The Angeles City 4-Wheelers Club Inc. in cooperation with the Angeles LGU will hold the 1st Mayor “Pogi” Lazatin Jr.’s 4×4 Cup on October 8-9, 2022 as part of the Fiestang Kuliat festivities.
The joint tourism and motorsports event is expected to be participated by more than 100 offroader enthusiasts not only in Pampanga province but in the Luzon area.
Mr. Edison Patio Dungca, president of the Angeles City 4-Wheelers Club Inc. said the “off road events traditionally attract well known 4×4 personalities and enthusiasts from all over the country and has made Angeles City a major off road destination since the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo.”
Dungca said there will be four categories in the off road events and these are: EXTREME CATEGORY with P50,000 (1st prize); P20,000 (2nd prize); and P10,000 (3rd prize). OPEN CATEGORY with P30,000 (1st prize); P10,000 (2nd prize); and P5,000 (3rd prize). BIG CATEGORY with P30,000 (1st prize); P10,000 (2nd prize); and P5,000 (3rd prize). SMALL CATEGORY with P30,000 (1st prize); P10,000 (2nd prize); and P5,000 (3rd prize). Entry fees are as follows: P3,500 for the EXTREME, and P2,500 for OPEN, BIG, AND SMALL.
Dungca; Lejan Perez, 4×4 Event Committee Head, Angeles City 4-Wheelers Club Inc. Club Chairman Noel Castro, Mr. Ric Balatbat, and members have already conducted a coordination meeting with the Angeles LGU on Thursday.
They also met with Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. at the Mayor’s Office together with City Administrator Willy Rivera and Atty. Raphaela Kercee Vendel Lazatin, Chief of Staff.
The Angeles City 4-Wheelers Club Inc. Club has already partnered with the Angeles LGU during the first Abacan Off Road Rally in 1993. Back in 1994 and in the succeeding installments of the Philippine Hot Air Balloon Fiesta at the Clark Freeport Zone, the Angeles City 4-Wheelers Club Inc. Club, also supported the events retrieving hot air balloons.
