2 Aussies in pot session arrested

ANGELES CITY — Six persons including two Australians were arrested by the police after they were caught in a pot session inside a drug den in Barangay Malabanias here Wednesday.

Senior Supt Narvin Mangune, director of Angeles City Police Office, identified the suspects as Mark Philip Williams, 53, and Anthony Philip Stein, 56, both Australians and temporary staying at Narciso Street, Josefa Extension, Bgy. Malabanias here.

Others arrested were Raffy Masaga, 31, Ranimel Delante, 31, Glory Ann Oledan, 28, and Flora Mae Ortilano, 23, all residents of said place.

Mangune said the suspects were caught by surprise by the raiding team who responded from a tip relayed by residents in the community.

“Our police conducted the raid based on the information relayed by residents in the community about the presence of suspicious persons including foreigners in the residence of Masaga,” said Mangune over the phone.

Seized from the suspects’ possession includes quantitative amount of methamphetamine hydrochloride and illegal drugs paraphernalia, said Mangune.

The suspects were taken to ACPO Drug Enforcement Unit for further investivation as violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act is being readied against them.
