Two unidentified armed suspects believed to be members of “Basag Kotse Gang” were killed in a shootout with Bulacan police operatives along NIA Road, Palayan St., Barangay Cut-cot in Pulilan, Bulacan on Monday morning.
Bulacan PNP acting director Senior Supt. Chito Bersaluna said, elements of Pulilan Police responded to a tip off from a concerned citizen regarding two suspicious unidentified male factors onboard a red Rusi tricycle in the said place.
The operatives followed and saw the suspects entered NIA Road, Palayan St., while being chased by the operatives, upon reaching few meters away at the Gate 2 of Casa Buena De Pulilan in Brgy Cutcot, the suspects stopped, got off the tricycle and engaged the operatives in a shootout which resulted in the neutralization of the suspects.
Recovered were one .38 caliber handgun, a hand grenade, 11 pieces of small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu; one red Rusi motorized tricycle, with plate no. CA-81613, two cellphones and assorted mechanical tools.
Seized pieces of evidence were brought to Bulacan Provincial Crime Laboratory Office for appropriate examinations.
The cadavers of the suspects were brought to Superior Funeral Homes in Brgy Bintog, Plaridel, Bulacan for paraffin and autopsy.
