2 Chinese men jailed for illegal possession of firearms

Two Chinese nationals were arrested on Saturday for carrying guns in public in San Rafael, Bulacan.

The suspects were identified as Cao Jie, 35, and 

Jia Zi Cong, 27, both Chinese nationals and stay-in employees at Momarco Vagetable Plantation, Bgy.  Caingin, San Rafael, Bulacan

The San Rafael police received an information from a concerned citizen that two male Chinese persons pulled out their guns for everyone to see while eating at a local eatery in Bgy. Caingin.

A police team was immediately dispatched in the area and they spotted two men walking out of the eatery that matched the description of the suspects. 

The cops noticed the two foreigners acted suspiciously when they saw them approaching as they tried to walk away hastily.

When the cops caught up with them, the two started to speak in Chinese. 

Upon inspection, the two men yielded a .45 pistol with magazine loaded with six bullets, and and a .9mm with magazine loaded with nine bullets.

When asked for the permits for the guns, the two foreigners could not show any, prompting the cops to arrest them for  violation of R.A.10591 or Omnibus Election CodeBERNARD GALANG
