2 detained Chinese victims rescued in Angeles City

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga –– Two Chinese nationals who were “illegally detained” by their compatriots were rescued on Sunday in Angeles City.

In a report to PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Valeriano De Leon, Angeles City Police Director Col. Rommel Batangan said members of the Angeles City police station 5 and CIDG rescued victims Li Deng Hu and Apple Ong at Star Hotel located on  Friendship Highway, Bgy. Anunas,  Angeles City.
Batangan said the rescue operation was launched after Sam Carlo Ong, brother of one of the victims, informed them that her sister was being held against her will at the hotel.

The rescue teams  arrested their captors identified as Tangz Heing, Li Hai Zheng, and Xiao Na, all Chinese nationals and residents of Star Hotel.

The two victims said the three suspects did not allow them to leave the place until the police rescued them.

The suspects will face charges for violation of serious illegal detention.
