Two suspected drug pushers were killed while 10 other drug suspects were arrested in different buy-bust operations conducted by the Bulacan Police on Monday in the City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.
Bulacan Police provincial director Sr. Supt. Chito Bersaluna identified the fatalities killed during the buy-bust operation conducted by the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) of City of San Jose del Monte Police Station as Rommel Ferrer, a resident of Brgy Towerville/Graceville, CSJDM, included in Barangay Anti-drug Abuse Council (BADAC) Watch list and his cohort identified only as alias “Boboy”.
Investigation revealed that two suspects fired their guns towards the operatives when they sensed the presence of a law enforcers after a consummated drug deal in Brgy. Graceville in the said city about 5:30 PM leaving the police officers no choice but to defend themselves which resulted in the suspects’ death.
PSupt. Orlando Castil Jr., CSJDM Police chief said that upon verification, suspect Ferrer was known as a notorious drug pusher in Towerville, Graceville, and adjacent barangays of CSJDM.
Castil added that he was an Illegal Drug Personality of CSJDM who once eluded arrest during a buy bust operation last month in Towerville and was charged at large for violation of RA 9164 (Illegal Drugs).
Recovered from the crime scene were six pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected “shabu”; two Caliber 38 revolvers and buy-bust money.
Meanwhile, ten other drug suspects were arrested in cities/towns of SJDM, Hagonoy, Bocaue, Calumpit, and Norzagaray.
The arrested suspects were identified as Christopher Fajardo; Jeffrey Madredijo; Fernando Benidecto; Joel De tera; Marilet Gines; Geann Zabal; Rodolfo Rivera; Jessie Gojar; Christopher Cabiling and Francis Maypa.
Twenty pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected “shabu”; one cut opened plastic sachet with suspected “shabu” residue; three pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected dried “Marijuana” leaves; buy-bust money and assorted drug paraphernalia were seized from the suspects.
The arrested suspects and seized pieces of evidence were brought to Bulacan Crime Laboratory Office for appropriate examination while criminal complaints against them are now being prepared for filing in court. –ELOISA SILVERIO
