Two men on a tricycle were killed on Wednesday in an encounter with police officers in Barangay Rizal, San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija.
San Leonardo Police Commander Maj. Arnel Aguilar said his men were patrolling in Bgy. Rizal when they spotted a plateless black motorbike with yellow sidecar inside the Rizal Cemetery.
When the police officers approached the trike, the backrider pulled out a gun and fired at the cops, prompting the policemen to retaliate killing the two men on the spot.
The SOCO team processed the crime scene and police are currently checking their identities.
