Over 580 families in Brgy. Bancal Pugad, Lubao now have 24/7 access to clean water following the completion of a ₱7.6 million water system funded by the Pampanga Provincial Government.
The project, which began in June 2025, replaces manual hand pumps with a deep well system and household faucets. Lubao Mayor Esmeralda Pineda noted that 80–90% of households are already being supplied, providing residents with safer drinking water and easier access for daily chores. To ensure reliability, the site includes a backup motorized tanker and an overhead tank for power outages.
Similar water systems are currently being developed in four other coastal barangays across Sasmuan and Macabebe, with ongoing water quality testing to ensure safety.
