2,464 poor families in CL receive food assistance from Police

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga (PIA) — A total of 2,464 indigent families in Central Luzon benefitted from the food assistance program of Police Regional Office 3.

Adopt a Family program aims to help families who are most in need and supply them with their basic food commodities during the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) period.

“We are sending strong message to the public that their police are part of their families who are providing them with support and hope especially during these trying times. This is also a good way to prevent incidents of looting and burglary because of the no work, no pay situation and constraint public movement,” Police Regional Director PBGen Rhodel Sermonia said.

Relative to this, only four robbery incidents in major establishments were recorded in Bulacan, Nueva Ecija and Pampanga since the start of ECQ last March 17.
