2,600 Kapampangans benefit from AICS program

AICS serves as the social safety net or a stop-gap mechanism to support the recovery of individuals and families from unexpected crisis such as illness or death of a family member and other crisis situations.

Senate Committee on Social Justice, Welfare, and Rural Development Chairperson Imee Marcos led the distribution to the beneficiaries who are composed of solo parents, senior citizens and persons with disabilities in the towns of Arayat, Magalang and Mexico.

Marcos also provided an additional P5 million fund to each of the mentioned municipalities

to be used for their agricultural projects.

“The Mayor and your women’s organizations are to decide where to use this fund. You can buy delivery trucks, cold storage facilities, and other equipment to help you in your livelihood,” she stated.

Meanwhile, the provincial government distributed food packs containing rice and canned goods to the same beneficiaries.

Governor Dennis Pineda thanked Marcos for her assistance to the province, particularly in the field of medicine and agriculture.
