A total of 275 families affected by the southwest monsoon (Habagat) and recent tropical cyclones Crising, Emong, and Dante received Kalinga packs from SM City Olongapo Central and SM City Olongapo Downtown as part of the continuing support efforts of SM Foundation’s Operation Tulong Express.
The distribution of Kalinga Packs and essential goods in Barangay Sta. Rita, Mabayuan, Old Cabalan and New Ilalim was carried out in coordination with the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) and the affected barangay, ensuring that affected residents were reached.
Each Kalinga pack contains rice, canned goods, noodles, and bottled water to help the families recover from the immediate effects of the storms and heavy rains.
The distribution is part of a broader effort of SM Foundation to provide timely and effective disaster response in vulnerable areas across the region. SM expressed gratitude to all employee volunteers and partner agencies who helped facilitate the distribution process smoothly and safely.
