CAMP OLIVAS – With PRO3’s relentless fight against illegal drugs, authorities had seized a substantial quantity of shabu from three suspects involved in separate operations in Angeles City and Bulacan.
PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. said Angeles City police conducted a buy-bust in Bgy. Pulung Maragul on Tuesday which resulted in the arrest of high value target Harrey Urquiola, 44, and his cohort Remrick Magno, 21, both residents of Mabalacat City, Pampanga.
Confiscated from them were 20 plastic sachets of shabu worth P680,000, one sling bag, the marked and boodle money and a scooter.
Hidalgo said on the same day in Bulacan, suspect Algin Cruz, 44, of Bocaue, Bulacan was arrested in an entrapment in Bgy. Longos, Pulilan and seized from him were seven plastic sachets of shabu valued at P232,288.00 and one scooter.
The three suspects are now facing charges for violation of Sec 5 and 11 of RA 9165.
“These arrests demonstrate the unwavering commitment and hard work of our personnel to eradicate illegal drug activity from our streets and neighborhoods. Our efforts will continue through ongoing investigations, vigilant patrolling, and collaboration with partner agencies to maintain a safe and drug-free community for all law-abiding citizens, ” Hidalgo said.
