Camp Olivas — Central Luzon police regional director Brig. Gen. Valeriano de Leon on Friday said PRO3’s efforts as a staunch member of the Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (RTF-ELCAC) and the persistent campaign on anti-terrorism resulted in the surrender of three rebels in Aurora province.
De Leon identified the surrenderees as alias “Gil,” a former member of Militiang Bayan; alias “Jasmine,” a former vice squad leader of SDG Central Aurora of Samahan Youth Propaganda (SYP) central under Aurora PCOM; and alias “Tatang,” a former member of Militiang Bayan operating in Bgy. Calaocan, Dipaculao, Aurora and Quirino Province.
Joint elements of Dipaculao MPS together with personnel of PIU, and Aurora 2nd PMFC, Bravo Coy, 91st IB, PA facilitated the surrender of the former rebels.
De Leon said the former rebels are eligible to avail of the government’s Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (e-clip) and will be provided with a package of benefits such as livelihood, medical, education, housing, and legal assistance.
