At least 30 international balloonists will join the Lubao International Balloon and Music Festival (LIBMF) this April 6 to 9 at the Pradera Verde in Prado Siongco, Lubao town.
In a press conference held on Thursday, Lubao IBMF 2017 event Chairman Noel Castro said 30 international balloonists have confirmed to grace the skies of Lubao with 35 amazing giant balloons.
Castro said 18 participating countries of the Lubao IBMF 2017 including USA, UK, Germany, France, Belgium, Canada, Japan, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, South Korea, Switzerland, Vietnam, Netherland, Australia, Malaysia and Taiwan will showcase their different shapes of balloons.
He said among the 35 balloons, 25 are regular-shaped, and 10, special-shaped. From the 35, 30 are international balloons and five are local balloons.
Among the special-shaped balloons that will fly the skies of Lubao are Dexter, Orange, Rooster, Tako, Bobo the Lobster, Dreamer, Fox, Heart, Panda, Frog and Bembel.
The leveled-up fun and entertainment at the Lubao IBMF 2017 is expected to draw 100,000 spectators from across the country.
Castro even assured spectators of their safety as 600 to 700 personnel will be detailed to man the traffic and parking in the area.
Lubao IBMF 2017 will also offer gastronomic foodtrip, activities for kids with their favorite inflatables, carnival, aerial exhibitions, night glow, fireworks and music festival. Aside from the balloon activities, Pradera Verde also offers one-of-a-kind wakeboarding and an18-hole golf course.
After the fun-filled sky activities, offered also is a trip around nearby attractions such as St. Augustine Church (Pampanga’s oldest church), Hacienda Gracia, President Diosdado Macapagal Museum and Lubao Bamboo Hub.
Ticket prices start at P300 and entrance ticket to the flying area is P500 per person. Tickets are available at all SM Ticket Outlets Nationwide and Ticketworld Outlets and on-site.
Lubao IBMF 2016 is organized by Lubao International Balloon Festival Inc (LIBF) together with Forthinker, Inc in cooperation with the Arts, Culture and Tourism Office of Pampanga (ACTO) with the support from the provincial government of Pampanga.
