The three-day event, dubbed as Victoria Trade Fest: Bida ang Lokal, was in line with the municipality’s celebration of its 170th founding anniversary, and was organized by the local government unit in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Tarlac.

DTI Tarlac OIC Provincial Director Florencia Balilo underscored the significance of the trade fest in providing for local entrepreneurs  with the opportunity to introduce and feature their products to the community.

“This trade fair is a venue to demonstrate our quality products to the community. This is a great way to support and develop the growth and success of our local businesses,” she said.

Balilo added that with the trade fair as a stepping stone, it can help MSMEs to boost their market reach and development.

Also, part of the event was the financial literacy seminar conducted by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas to more than 300 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries and Overseas Filipino Workers.

Moreover, 30 4Ps beneficiaries benefited from the skills training and candle making of DTI.

As a way forward, the municipal government eyes to conduct trade fest as a regular initiative in the coming years.
