38 Nanay Partylist empowers market vendors

City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Market vendors, many of them mothers striving to balance work and family, received a much-needed boost as 38 Nanay Partylist visited the San Fernando Public Market to extend support, engage with them directly, and patronize their goods.

Spearheading the effort were 38 Nanay Partylist Representative Florabel Yatco, Pampanga Vice Governor Lilia ‘Nanay’ Pineda, and Former Board Member Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab, who made the rounds to hear out vendors’ concerns and gain firsthand insight into their daily struggles.

“We handed out aprons and t-shirts, knowing how essential these are in their line of work. But beyond that, we made sure to listen—to let them know they are seen, heard, and valued,” said Rep. Yatco.

The partylist acknowledges that these women wear many hats—not just as vendors but as the backbone of their households.

“Most of the vendors here are mothers, carrying the weight of providing for their families while managing their businesses. The dedication they show every day is remarkable,” Yatco added.

Through sustained efforts like this, 38 Nanay Partylist reinforces its mission to champion accessible healthcare, livelihood opportunities, and overall welfare for mothers, vendors, and working families nationwide.
