
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — A total of 397 police personnel from the Pampanga Police Provincial Office (PPO) and nearby units began casting their votes on Monday, April 28, as the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) officially launched the Local Absentee Voting (LAV) program.
Voting is taking place at the multi-purpose covered court inside the Pampanga PPO headquarters and will run until April 30, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily.

Of the total voters, 202 are assigned from Pampanga PPO, 75 from the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3 (RMFB3), 32 from Angeles City Police Office, 55 from the Regional Headquarters, and 33 from various National Support Units.
Under the LAV, participants are allowed to vote for national positions only, including 12 Senators and one Party-List group.

Pampanga PPO Provincial Director PCOL Jay C. Dimaandal, among the early voters, emphasized the importance of exercising one’s right to vote even while on duty, citing the LAV as a means to ensure every officer’s participation in the democratic process.
He also commended the orderly conduct of the voting and encouraged personnel to maximize the opportunity provided by the COMELEC.
