CAMP OLIVAS — Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. on Sunday reported the arrest of four drug peedlers including a high value target and the seizure of over P828,000 worth of illegal drugs in separate operations in Tarlac and Angeles City.
Lt.. Col. Deonilo Maniago Angeles City Police Chief identified one of the suspects as Ryan Pineda from Bgy. Pampang, Angeles City. Pineda was apprehended by operatives of the Angeles police in a buy-bust on Friendship Highway, Bgy. Cutcut, Angeles City.
Seized from him were four plastic sachets containing shabu weighing around 60 grams worth P408,000, the marked money and a cellphone.
In Tarlac City, police conducted an anti-illegal drug operation in Bgy. San Juan Bautista, Tarlac City that led to the arrest of Jay-AR Ibarra, Aries Bautista, and Jerome Jurado.
Authorities seized four cellophane-sealed bricks and two cellophane-sealed rolls containing dried marijuana leaves, totaling approximately 3.5kgs with an estimated value of P420,000, a tricycle, and three cellphone .
All the suspects are set to face charges for violating Sec. 5 and Sec. 11, Art II of RA 9165.
Hidalgo emphasized that continuous apprehensions of drug-related individuals and the commitment of the police force to deter the spread of illegal substances.
