Public service inspired Jasminda Libunao of Nueva Ecija placed third in the August 2021 Social Work Licensure Examination.
Libunao is currently a city link for Cabanatuan of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) of Department of Social Welfare and Development. She previously worked as a Grievance Officer of 4Ps for two years.
“To be of help to the people, most especially to those in need, is one of my motivations as a public servant,” Libunao said.
She juggled studying while working to finish her studies and fulfill her passion for rendering services to those in need.
“It is not easy studying while working. It takes diligence, perseverance, support from my family and most importantly faith in God in order to finish my program,” she shared.
Her experience as a 4Ps worker, which primarily guides families who are beneficiaries of 4Ps to succeed through the programs of the government, gave her a firsthand involvement and observation of the task of a social worker.
Receiving the news, Libunao said she is thankful especially to her Creator for giving her an opportunity to be in the top.
“Being included in the top is a great blessing from God who is the source of everything I have right now,” she shared.
Libunao serves as case manager of 770 active households of 4Ps beneficiaries in Cabanatuan City.
