5 drug suspects killed in Bulacan

Five suspected notorious drug pushers were slain in an encounter with Bulacan Police operatives during anti-drug operation and serving of warrant of arrest in Bulacan province.

Bulacan Police director Senior Supt. Chito Bersaluna identified the three fatalities during the different anti-illegal drugs operations in city/towns of Meycauayan, Baliwag and Pulilan as Norberto P Ligon, 39, single, native of Bulacan, jobless, a resident of Pineville Brgy Lawa, City of Meycauayan, included in Meycauayan MPS Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC); Ariel Bunag, 22, single, a resident of Brgy. Calantipay, Baliwag, and RJ De Leon from Brgy San Jose, Baliwag, included in the Drug Watchlist of Baliwag MPS; while Rico Reyes, 40, single, jobless, included in the PRRD List and one Noel Reyes, 50, both single, jobless and residents of Brgy Sto Cristo, Pulilan, Bulacan.

The suspects were neutralized during drug buy bust operation after the consummated drug transaction, the three first suspects shoot it out with the operatives upon effect of their arrest which resulted in their deaths.

The two other suspects were engaged the operatives in a shoot out which resulted in their deaths during the implementation of Search Warrant (SW) by the joint elements of Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB), 1st Provincial Moblile Force Company and Pulilan MPS in Brgy. Sto Cristo, in Pulilan town.

Bersaluna added that thirteen other drug suspects identified as Jorge Alpas; Rodel Galit; Norasan Gambao; Ronaldo Agacita; Edgardo Magtanao; Christopher Binuya; Rogelio Acuna; Joselito Ferrera; Edwin Castro; Erick Licuanan Jr.; Marlou Surio; Kimarvin Viray and Roberto Policarpio.

Thirty-three plastic sachets of “shabu” and buy-bust money were confiscated during the operations conducted by the anti-illegal drugs operatives of Malolos, Meycauayan, Bulakan, Calumpit, Balagtas, and Santa Maria.

The arrested suspects and seized pieces of evidence were brought to Bulacan Crime Laboratory for appropriate examination, while criminal charges against them are now being prepared for filing in court.
