Five notorious gun dealers were killed during a buy-bust-turned-shootout in Bgy. Nueva Victoria, Mexico Pampanga on Thursday. Pampanga Police Director Col. Arnold Ibay said operatives of the 3rd PMFC led by Lt. Col. Michael Masangkay and the Mexico municipal police launched an entrapment against the five suspects in the said barangay when they figured in a shootout.
Ibay identified two of the fatalities as Mark Lester Lopez, of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte; and Marvin Cunanan, 27, of Sta. Lucia, Magalang, Pampanga.
The other three suspects are still unidentified. Recovered at the encounter site were assorted fired bullets, one 9mm gun, another 9mm gun loaded with 12 bullets, a Palneyo 9mm gun with magazine, a home-made 9mm gun loaded with six bullets, a home-made 45 pistol, a bolt cutter, a 36-cm long crew bar, and a gray Mitsubishi Expander with plate number 6562.
