6 human trafficking  victims rescued in Pampanga

CAMP OLIVAS — Law enforcement agencies on Monday rescued six individuals believed to be victims of human trafficking in Pampanga.

PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. said  a collaborative effort involving the Regional Anti-Trafficking in Persons Task Group 3, WCPD, San Fernando police ,and RRPTP personnel from DSWD FO3 launched an operation in front of Golden Haven, Bgy. Calulut, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

The operation resulted in the arrest of a 22-year-old female pimp identified as Jasmin dela Pena alias “Kang,” and rescue of six persons who were allegedly being offered for sexual services.

The suspect will be charged with  violations of RA 9208, as amended by RA 10364, and RA 7610.

Hildalgo  commended the efforts of the operating teams and reassured the public of a continued commitment to combat all forms of crimes especially human trafficking in  region.
