TARLAC CITY — About 80 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from various towns in Tarlac received livelihood assistance from Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
DTI Provincial Director Agnes Ramirez said Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG) is a livelihood seeding and entrepreneurship development program which aims to aid micro enterprises affected by fire incidents or other calamities, and health disasters like pandemics to restart their businesses.
“DTI-PPG also intends to provide livelihood opportunities for identified beneficiaries in areas considered as proprieties of the national government including uniformed personnel who were wounded or killed-in-action, Balik Probinsya Program, and National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict,” she furthered.
Ramirez stressed that the MSME-beneficiaries were initially evaluated and selected by DTI.
“As MSMEs, they are the backbone of our economy, and DTI is always here to serve them. We hope that these livelihood kits will give them relief especially at this time of pandemic. In return, we ask them to treasure these so that they can bring prosperity not only to their families but to their communities and to the economy as well,” Ramirez noted.
The next batches of livelihood kits are set to be distributed this month.
