A new commercial complex is set to rise in Bataan, as the groundbreaking ceremony for the 925 PLAZA was held Tuesday morning, May 30, 2023.
The event was attended by former Bataan Vice Governor Engr. Ben Alonzo, who is the owner and developer of the project, along with his son Engr. Raymond Paul Alonzo, former Hermosa Councilor Jinkee Alonzo, Dr. Kaye Alonzo-Gaza, and Charm Alonzo-Madrigal.
Also present were Architect Fedore Yap, who designed the complex, Business Consultant Bobby Leung, Bataan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vice President Reynaldo Gonzalez and his wife Mercy Gonzales of Balanga City Lions Club, and Hermosa Mayor Jopet Inton who served as guest of honor.
Fr. Anthony Sibug officiated the blessing rites for the complex, which will feature three buildings, five-storey building in the middle and the others with spaces for a popular supermarket, fine dining restaurants, bank & ATM machines, various health & coffee shops and offices.
The complex will also have a huge parking area and a landscaped plaza that can accommodate outdoor events and activities.
Engr. Ben Alonzo said that the 925 PLAZA is his way of giving back to his hometown of Hermosa and to the province of Bataan, where he once served as vice governor.
He said that he hopes that the complex will boost the local economy and provide more opportunities for the residents.
Mayor Inton congratulated Engr. Ben Alonzo and his family for their vision and investment in Hermosa.
He said that the 925 PLAZA is one of the engines of growth for the town, along with other infrastructure projects such as new networks of roads and FAB registered enterprises.
He also assured the public that his administration will continue to support the private sector in creating a conducive environment for business and development.
The 925 PLAZA is located along the Bataan Provincial Highway and the old National Highway, within the vicinity of Hermosa Central Business Area of Culis and Palihan, and a few blocks away from the Hermosa Ecozone Industrial Park.
It is expected to be completed and operational by the end of 2024.
