Mayor Lazatin inaugurates primary care facility in Barangay Pulungbulu

ANGELES CITY — Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. on April 8, 2025, led the inauguration of a new primary care facility in Barangay Pulungbulu as part of his ongoing health agenda to provide accessible and quality medical services to every Angeleño.

The newly opened facility features a dental clinic, consultation and laboratory rooms, a physician’s office, pantry, storage space, and a pharmacy with essential medicines.

“This is part of our commitment to bring health services closer to the barangays,” Lazatin said. “No Angeleño should be left behind when it comes to access to proper medical care.”

Also present during the inauguration were Pampanga First District Representative Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, Vice Mayor Vicky Vega-Cabigting, members of the City Council, Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, department heads, and chiefs-of-offices.

The city has allocated ₱55 million for the construction of nine additional primary care units.

So far, facilities have already opened in Pulung Maragul,  Malabanias, Tabun, and Cutud.

Units in Anunas, Capaya, Amsic, and Balibago are also scheduled for completion this year — bringing the total to 15, the ideal number to serve the city’s population of over 450,000.

Since 2019, Mayor Lazatin has increased the number of health centers from six to a projected 15, while also hiring additional medical staff to ensure efficient and quality service delivery.
