CLARK FREEPORT — A manufacturing firm specializing in automotive electrical systems and industrial equipment is set to expand its operations in this Freeport, committing a P300-million investment that will generate at least 200 new jobs.

HMWS Inc., a Clark locator since 2011, formalized its expansion agreement with the Clark Development Corporation (CDC) on May 8 at the Clark Visitors Center.

As Clark continues to grow as an industrial hub, CDC President and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera highlighted the need to create an environment that supports both business and workers.

Key officials of Clark Development Corporation (CDC) who joined the signing ceremony were Vice President for Legal Affairs Atty. Gloria Victoria Taruc, Vice President for Security Services PMGen. Lina Sarmiento (Ret.), Vice President for Administration and Finance Jose Miguel de la Rosa, and Vice President for Engineering Services Engr. Teresito Tiotuyco. “As the estate manager, CDC must help provide the facilities and environment that foster real work-life balance. The best way to maintain industrial peace is by reaching out to workers and ensuring they have the necessary resources,” she said.

Meanwhile, HMWS Inc. President and Chairman of the Board Kevin John Woodbine emphasized that the expansion builds on more than a decade of collaboration within Clark.

“This is a continuation of what I would describe as a successful partnership between our vision and the remarkable work ethic of the Filipino people,” Woodbine said.

He also outlined plans for new amenities designed to support employee well-being.

“We are introducing sports facilities, gym facilities, and health facilities for our staff. That’s something we’re very proud of,” he added.

Woodbine noted the evolving business climate and CDC’s role in supporting locators’ success.

“In the past few years, it has been refreshing to see a CDC team that is proactive, innovative, visionary, and approachable,” he said.

“Speaking as one of CDC’s locators, the difference has been noticeable and impressive. Congratulations to the entire CDC team,” he added.

Aside from automotive electrical systems, HMWS Inc. also engineers and fabricates equipment for the mining, agriculture, and marine industries.
