The outgoing mayor of Sto. Tomas town in Pampanga has called on the management of Pampanga Electric Cooperative III (Pelco3) to pay its tax obligations estimated at P8 million.
Sto. Tomas Mayor Joselito Naguit said Pelco3 should pay its obligations.
Naguit’s legal counsel Atty. Francisco Macalino III said they reiterate the contention that Pelco 3 has unpaid tax obligations to the LGU of Sto.Tomas, Pampanga.
“The said tax obligations refer to the non-payment by Pelco3 of Business Tax for the year 2004 to 2016 and Real Property Tax, beginning 1992 to 2016,” Macalino III said.
He explained that the payment of the business tax by Pelco3 for the years covering 2014 to 2015, shall be applied to its tax arrears, so the same shall be applied for its tax obligations for the year 2002 and 2003.
