MABALACAT CITY — The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) will soon have a two-storey station on a 375 square meter area at Filhomes Subdivision in Barangay Mabiga here.
City Mayor Marino Morales along with Vice Mayor Christian Halili, Sangguniang Panlungsod members and Bureau of Fire Protection personnel led the groundbreaking rites of the very first fire station on Monday.
“Napakapalad po natin at tayo ay magkakaroon na ng sariling fire station dito sa Mabiga. Asahan po ninyo ang mabilis na pagresponde ng mga kawani ng pamatay sunog dahil nasa sentro po ito ng Mabalacat City,” City Fire Marshal Marilyn Buslig said.
According to BFP reports, fire incidents rate dropped for the first quarter of 2017.
BFP reports state 18 fire incidents in 2016 and only 3 non-index incidents amounting to P 10, 000 cost of damage since January 2017.
“Patunay ang po ito na effective ang mga fire prevention campaigns and programs natin,” Buslig added.
Moreover, Halili recognized Mabiga chaired by Nick Manansala as a fast developing barangay here in the city.
A police station will also be put up in San Rafael Subdivision to heighten security reach here.
Local officials then vowed to the homeowners that the ‘wangwang’ will only be alarmed outside the subdivision.
“Karen pung tiga Filhomes, eko pu migaganaka uling sabewung lamu pu reng BFP karas da highway. Nung nanu pa pu ing concern yu, willing ke ngan pung makiramdam keng buri yu,” Halili said.
For his part, Morales vowed to allocate fundings for the concreting of roads within the subdivision.
Joining the local execs are Local Government Operations Officer Rita Gotiangco, Councilors Dan Bayani, Jeng Yumul, and Bok Tiglao, and the Barangay Mabiga Council.
