CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The Pampanga government posted the ‘highest (quarry) collection’ of P36,860,000 for the month of March alone, based on the records of the Kapampangan a Lulugud at Matapat (KALAM).
According to Provincial Administrator Atty. Andres S. Pangilinan Jr, the increase in collection is due to the high demand of quarry materials for government infrastructure projects and big malls and other business establishments projects not only in Central Luzon but also in the National Capital Region.
The suspension of the collection of the weighing fees per truckload since December last year did not affect the daily quarry collection as the provincial government closely monitored and controlled the issuance of gratuitous permits issued to local government units for its respective infrastructure projects.
Since the assumption to office of Governor Pineda in July 2010 to this date, the total quarry revenues have reached to a total of P2,093,045,000.
