AFAB strengthens security readiness through bomb awareness seminar

The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB), through its Public Safety and Security Department – Law Enforcement Division, recently conducted a Bomb Awareness Seminar attended by the agency’s security service personnel. The activity aimed to enhance the participants’ understanding of bomb-related threats, their various types, and real-life incidents involving explosives.

The seminar was facilitated by experts from the Bataan Provincial EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) Canine Unit, who shared their valuable insights, field experiences, and practical knowledge on bomb detection, identification, and proper response protocols. The participants also learned how to handle potential bomb threat situations, ensuring the safety of individuals and the protection of property within the Freeport.

This initiative significantly strengthens AFAB’s overall preparedness and resilience against security threats. By equipping its personnel with essential knowledge and response skills, the agency reinforces its commitment to maintaining peace, order, and safety within the Freeport Area of Bataan. Such proactive efforts also reflect AFAB’s dedication to ensuring a secure environment for investors, locators, workers, and the surrounding community—supporting its vision of a progressive, safe, and sustainable Freeport.
