SM City San Fernando Downtown employees were cited yesterday for their honesty after the returning a wallet containing P49,950 in cash and important IDs.
SMSF Downtown Security Guard Egi Radores and Customer Relations Supervisor Mark Sanchez found the wallet in front of the supermarket’s delivery unit along the pedestrian lane of Consunji Street, according to PR manager of SMSF Downtown Rain Cervantes.
The valuables were owned by Jovencio Deus, 58, of San Pedro, Cutud, City of San Fernando.
Radores and Sanchez immediately proceeded to the mall’s Customer Relations Service (CRS) Office and surrendered the recovered items.
A couple of hours later, the wallet was returned to Deus.
Assisted by CRS Manager Mark Joseph Maglanque, Deus said that the money is for his medical check-up and tuition fee of his grandson. The ownerwas thankful for the honesty of Radores and Sanchez.
“We are very thankful to Kuya Egi Rodres and Mark Sanchez of SM San Fernando Downtown, for their honesty,” Deus said.
“I appreciate the assistance they gave to me,” he added.
Deus mentioned that the amount of P49,950 would be a big help to anyone who may have found the wallet but he’s still very thankful that it was returned to him.
